Response
For Santiago, the journey is more important than his destination. It is so because he finds his true love, gains important knowledge, and finds people that change his life for better. Although the treasure seems more valuable, truly the journey's 'treasures are much more important.

Random Question
I just want to do something on this blog, so I just have some random questions. really random
What months of the year do you like, not like, or not care about.
Here's mine:
January Okay
February Hate it
March Hate it too
April Good
May Awesome
June Great
July Fine
August Awesome
September Okay
October Okay
November Bleurgh hate it most of all
December Great
I doubt anyone's going to answer
A riddle:
I fall from the sky as the day dawns
And die after the day stretches and yawns
You can see me from afar but not near
And will conceal everything from eye and ear
Figure it out?
I made it up myself, so its not on the internet
there is a prize for whoever gets it first!!!!
but you have to get it by next Wednesday the 23rd, because ill be bringing it in to school!
trust me, its probably a good prize
just so you know, the 'ear' part doesn't really apply
I just wanted to make it rhyme
What's a six letter word with no letters: a e i o or u
that's it
happy holidays

Polyphemus Perverse: Response
'Polyphemus Perverse' is a poem that discusses what the Cyclops Polyphemus thinks about what he felt, thought, and did when Odysseus and his men came to his island. One major thing that he does is totally disregard the extremely important (at least to the Greeks) Greek rule of xenia. The Ancient Greeks were strict in what they called xenia, or what we today would probably call hospitality. They paid it great attention when having any guests at their residence. Polyphemus shows great disrespect to the visitors, Odysseus and his crew, and says he does what he did, such as eating a few of his men, because they had greatly disrespected him as well. He tries to excuse himself further by saying that he does not follow their rules of xenia and does not care about the whole idea at all. He is even angrier when he is blinded, not really understanding why Odysseus did it. . Although it is easily understandable of Polyphemus's greay anger, even by today's standards, eating your guests is taking the entire situation much too far; however, by the Greeks' idea of xenia, eating your guests is incredibly dishonorable, hugely disrespectful, and, to them, would anger Zeus very much.

My Book
Soon I'm going to post a few chapters from my book onto this. It might be sort of nerdy, but I'd appreciate any comments, critical or not.
